Abstract: This story is set in colonial Connecticut, specifically in the settlement of Hartford and centers around a group of children who have differing opinions about what they would so to Indians if they ran into them. The boys, led by Stephen, believe that they should shoot the Indians before they can harm them or the settlement, while the girls, most of all little Sylvia, believe that kindness would be the best course. When they run into a group of Indians, what will happen?
